Meet the leaders of The Consultants Source LLC

Randy James - Chief Technology Officer

Mr. James has 13 years of experience as a senior IT executive, including 13 years as a Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. James served as VP and Chief Information Officer of a manufacturing company, as SVP and CTO with a marketing analytics provider, as SVP and CIO of a life insurance company, and as Vice President of Development for a regional bank. Mr. James also has 17 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, technical management, project management, and business management roles with Digital Equipment and Unisys. Mr. James began his career in technology as a programmer/analyst.

Mr. James is a recipient of the Computerworld Premier 100 I.T. Leaders award, and is a frequent speaker at industry events including ITFMA, LOMA, TechDec, and technology user group meetings. He has served on multiple Client Advisory Boards, and has served as President of the Board of Trustees of a private school. Mr. James graduated in the top 5% of his MBA class at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and was honored as a Hotchkiss Scholar. Mr. James holds a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. James is also an Eagle Scout.

Peter Brooks - Chief Marketing Officer

With over 30 years of information technology experience, he was the founder and president of Labrynth Technologies, a Chicago-based networks and telecommunications firm, and was a practice director at Metamor Technologies (subsequently renamed Xpedior, Inc.), where he created and led the Healthcare Industries practice. Most recently, Peter was at CA, Inc. where he managed consulting services for the Midwest and Canada and was later VP of World-wide Sales Strategy. Peter also served as the CIO for HQ, Inc. (later known as HQ Global Workplaces).

Peter has also held technology management positions with TRW, the American Bar Association, CompuServe and Digital Equipment Corporation. In addition, he served as Vice President of Consulting Services for Syclo Corporation, and has extensive experience in applications consulting and in managing multi-million dollar software projects.

Mr. Brooks holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the City College of the City University of New York and an M.Ed. from the University of Illinois.

Tim Nuckles - Chief Legal and Administration Officer

With nearly 20 years of information technology transactions and governance experience, Tim has served as Corporate and IP Counsel for the Wausau Insurance Companies, Nationwide Insurance Group, Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, and Sentry Insurance Group. In private practice he represents buyers and sellers of information technology products and services in buy-sell, services and licensing transactions.

Tim is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is an active member of a number of bar boards and committees, including the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Sections of the Wisconsin State Bar Association.

Mr. Nuckles holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Law Degree from the S.J. Quinney College of Law.
